KeyCue 3.0 is up to Ten Times Faster, sports Different Themes and French Localization

Hagenberg, Austria: February 26, 2007 — Ergonis Software® today released KeyCue™ 3.0, the company's popular menu shortcut cheat sheet.

KeyCue 3.0 contains a new engine for collecting shortcuts and is up to ten times faster than previous versions. The new version also sports different themes for customizing the appearance of the shortcut table. These themes include the "Classic" look of previous versions and a brand-new "Dashboard" theme that darkens the rest of the screen to attract attention to the shortcuts. Besides that, the new release adds complete French localization including French documentation. It also includes some other functional improvements and maintenance fixes to user-reported issues. See the version history at the company’s web site for a more detailed list of changes.

KeyCue greatly increases user productivity by improving the visibility and usability of menu shortcuts. The productivity paradox of menu shortcuts is that shortcuts were designed to increase productivity, but productivity actually decreases when applications provide large numbers of shortcuts, in particular when the shortcuts are defined inconsistently across applications. KeyCue’s elegantly simple solution is to detect and display an instant overview of the overall functionality of any application.

"The average Mac OS X application has about 40 menu shortcuts. Apple's Mail, Aperture, and other Pro apps can have 80 or even more menu shortcuts, depending on the current situation. KeyCue is for menu shortcuts what PopChar is for special characters. A simple and unobtrusive utility that makes your daily work easier and automatically enhances your productivity," said Christoph Reichenberger, founder and CEO of Ergonis Software.

KeyCue has already received many awards, including a 4.5-Mice award in the August 2006 edition of MacWorld magazine. Dan Frakes mentions in his review, "KeyCue is extremely useful. I've also found it to be a great cheat sheet that actually helps me learn the shortcuts."
