PopChar supports Unicode fonts with thousands of characters available. Just switch from ASCII to Unicode to see all of them, neatly arranged in the standard Unicode categories.

PopChar 3.3 adds a magnifier tool that lets you see an enlarged view of characters. This is especially useful for characters with small, subtle details. The grid lines in the close-up lens also let you see exactly where a character sits relative to the baseline.

Just activate the magnifier in the bottom-left corner of the window. Whenever you point at a character, PopChar then displays a close-up view of the character.

Hint: You can toggle the current setting of the magnifier at any time by pressing the shift key.

The current version of PopChar Win is available in English and German.

Installation

To install PopChar, download the installer from our downloads page.

Once you have downloaded the installer, just double-click it and follow the steps suggested by the installer. After installation you can immediately start using PopChar Win - no restart required.

As long as you do not have a license key, PopChar Win operates in trial mode: some special characters are dimmed in the PopChar window. You can order a license key online on our order page. When you receive your license key, enter it in the Registration dialog of PopChar Win. The dimmed characters will immediately become active.

System Requirements

PopChar Win 3.0 and newer runs on Windows Vista, XP, 2003, and 2000.

If you need to run PopChar on older systems (Windows 95, 98, Me, NT), please use version 2.2.
