An educational discount of 30% is granted for quantities of 30 and above, if you want to use PopChar Pro for educational purpose only.

Distribution:

PopChar Pro is being distributed as an installer that installs the control panel, utility programs and documentation on your computer. You can use it to install a time-limited demo or an unlimited registered copy (if you have purchased a license key).

Delivery:

All prices on this page apply if you download Popchar Pro yourself. If you want to order a CD-ROM version, we will charge extra EUR 20 for handling and shipping. Please note that CD-ROM versions cannot be ordered online but only by fax or mail.

If you want to install PopChar X+Pro on many Macs and don't want to fiddle around with license keys, we also offer Site licenses.

A Site license reduces your administrative work, because you do not need to keep track of multiple license keys. We offer a special Site installer which does not need different license keys for each machine.

If your 2 years update period has expired or if you own an old copy of PopChar Pro, you can purchase a 2 years license renewal.

Whereas other software vendors offer upgrades at a reduced price for just a single new version, our licenses cover ALL subsequent releases of PopChar X and PopChar Pro within two years, starting with the date of purchase.

License Renewals are available only for online orders with credit card payment.

Prices for 2 years license renewals:

You can upgrade a multi-user license to a new license up to the number of users of your original license. Please note that you can take advantage of the special upgrade price only ONCE. If you upgrade your license for a smaller number of users, we do not offer another upgrade discount for the remaining number of users.

For quantities of up to 30 licenses, please combine the standard packages. For higher quantities, please contact our customer service for a quote.

Which version do I need?

Due to the technical differences between PopChar Pro (for Mac OS 9) and PopChar X (for Mac OS X), we distribute them as two separate products.

For the convenience of our customers, however, we do not sell separate licenses for the Pro and the X version. Instead, starting with version 1.5 of PopChar Pro and version 1.0 of PopChar X, one license key allows you to install either the Pro version or the X version on one computer. If you are using a dual boot strategy (boot into Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 alternatively), you may also install the Pro version AND the X version on the same computer. However, you cannot use one license key to register a Pro version and an X version on two computers at the same time.

You therefore also don't need to decide whether you should purchase PopChar Pro or PopChar X - one license covers both versions.

Free updates for 2 years included

To ensure that you can easily stay up to date with the most recent version of PopChar, we include a 2 year free upgrade service with every purchase. If you newly purchase or upgrade to PopChar X+Pro now, your license key includes free updates to new PopChar X+Pro releases for two years (starting with the date of purchase). This includes minor releases (such as bug fixes and small improvements) as well as major releases with new features.

Please note that this does not mean that your license will expire after two years. You can use a registered copy of PopChar X+Pro without limitation, but your license key will not be valid for newer versions that are released more than two years after the purchase of the license key.

Upgrade from earlier versions

Old PopChar Pro license keys do not work with PopChar X. However, if you own an earlier version of PopChar Pro, you are entitled to upgrade to the current version (including PopChar X) for a modest upgrade fee.
