PopChar - Easily type umlauts and foreign characters -no need to learn keyboard combinations

PopChar could be described as a better, easier character map. It is a utility application that lets you insert characters from all installed fonts into your documents. You no longer need to search for and remember keystrokes to type special characters and umlauts. Just pop up the PopChar window, click the desired character, and the character appears in your current document.

If a font contains Unicode characters, you can check "Unicode" in the Settings menu to see all of them, neatly arranged in the standard Unicode categories.

Web designers will especially enjoy the ability to insert HTML symbols.

Installation

To install PopChar, download the installer from our downloads page.

As long as you do not have a license key, PopChar operates in trial mode: some special characters are dimmed in the PopChar window. You can order a license key online on our order page. When you receive your license key, enter it in the Registration dialog of PopChar Win. The dimmed characters will immediately become active.

Languages

PopChar X is available in English, German, and French. PopChar Win is available in English and German.
