One single-user license allows you to install and use the software on up to two computers, such as a desktop and a laptop, as long as both computers are owned and used by you.
If you purchase multiple single-user licenses, these multiple users may use the software on two computers each. The assumption here is that one person cannot use the software on more than one computer at the same time, so one license per user is sufficient. If a company (or a single user) has multiple computers that can be used simultaneously, the number of licenses must match the number of computers.
We automatically apply a quantity discount if you put more than one item into your shopping cart.

A family pack license allows you to install and use the software on up to five computers as long as those computers are used only by family members living in the same private household. The family pack license does not extend to business or commercial users.
Changed license policy as per April 2010
We have changed our license policy to offer a more flexible and user-friendly way to use our software.
Starting with April 2010, single licenses for our products are now single-user licenses instead of single-machine licenses. This means that you may install and use the software on two computers as long as both computers are owned and used by you.
Furthermore, we are offering family pack licenses for usage of our products on up to five computers owned by family members living in the same private household.
Finally, we are moving from a time-based to a version-based upgrade policy. This means that from now on upgrades for minor versions are free while major upgrades will be paid upgrades.
Of course, your entitlement for free upgrades for 2 years after your purchase remains intact for all licenses purchased before April 2010. Please note, however, that the 2 years upgrade warranty does not extend to free licenses that you may have got from MacHeist or during other promotions.

VAT
All prices are given in EUR exclusive VAT. VAT will be charged depending on the destination country:
Austria: add 20% VAT
European Union outside Austria: 20% VAT must be added unless a company supplies its VAT ID Number.
Outside the European Union: No VAT will be charged.
Educational discounts
Full-time students, teachers, lecturers or other staff members in the education sector can request a coupon code for a 30 % educational discount by sending an e-mail message to our customer service providing a copy of their faculty/student ID card together with the name and address of the institution and their role there.
Distribution
Distribution
Our products are being distributed as ESD (electronic software download) products on a try-before-you-buy basis. You don't have to purchase the product before downloading it. Instead, we encourage you to download and test any product for free BEFORE your purchase.
Try before you buy
Trial versions will expire after a set number of days or have some other limitations. To remove the limitations of trial mode, you need to purchase a license key. You do not need to download the product again. Just enter your license key in the registration dialog to turn the trial version into the fully functioning product.
If you want to install the software on many computers and don't want to fiddle around with license keys, we recommend using a site license.
A site license reduces your administrative work because you do not need to keep track of multiple license keys. Instead you get a special site package that considerably simplifies installation of the software on many computers.
We recommend a site license if you are looking for a quantity of 20 or more.
