Hagenberg, Austria: July 14, 2008 - Ergonis Software today announced the release of Typinator 3.1, the latest version of its highly acclaimed tool for auto-typing text and auto-correcting typos system-wide across all Mac OS X applications. The new version integrates the recently released HTML snippets set providing over 100 abbreviations for elements of the HTML 4.01 standard. Typinator 3.1 also improves compatibility with many popular applications like Coda, VMWare Fusion, Butler, Zend Studio, and others. In addition to many functional improvements, the menu bar icon has been redesigned to better match the style of Apple's menu extras - and for the user interface purists, it can now even be turned off. Hagenberg, Austria: June 16, 2008 - Ergonis Software today announced the release of PopChar X 4.0, the award-winning tool for finding and typing special characters. PopChar 4 introduces a new view that allows users to search for special characters in a new, system-wide way, without being limited to the characters available in a particular font. Imagine you want to type the cubic meters symbol, but you don't know the keyboard combination, much less you know what font contains the required symbol. Up to now you would have to search all your installed fonts one by one. With PopChar 4 you just type "cub m" in the search field and switch to the new "All" view. If any of your installed fonts contains the cubic meters symbol, PopChar will show it to you, and will allow you to insert it into your document with a single click. Hagenberg, Austria: May 20, 2008 — Ergonis Software® today announced KeyCue™ 4.2 adding support for Keyboard Maestro. KeyCue is quite a handy tool for learning and remembering keyboard shortcuts. Whenever the Command key is kept pressed for a set amount of time, the KeyCue window will appear listing all the keyboard shortcuts available in the currently active application. Keyboard Maestro is a powerful macro program that lets you define custom action sequences together with your own shortcuts to activate them. As with menu shortcuts, when you have defined a lot of useful macros, remembering all the shortcuts for invoking them becomes a challenge. The latest update to Typinator from Ergonis Software gave the program the capability to correct typos and misspellings as soon as they're entered. To help users get started immediately, Ergonis provided dictionaries of more than 800 common mistakes in each of English, German, and French. Now Typinator has become even more useful with the addition of the public domain TidBITS AutoCorrect Dictionary in English, which enables Typinator to correct over 2,300 additional mistakes on the fly. |

KeyCue 3.0 contains a new engine for collecting shortcuts and is up to ten times faster than previous versions. The new version also sports different themes for customizing the appearance of the shortcut table. These themes include the "Classic" look of previous versions and a brand-new "Dashboard" theme that darkens the rest of the screen to attract attention to the shortcuts.
